Civil 3D 2022 - Profile View Missing Surface

The Profile View in Civil 3D is a very easy tool to use to show the design. However, if just one element needs changing to show different data or a different style, there are many levels of customisation that need to be explored. This series of blogs will take typical examples of changes and show how they are configured.

A common reason for a surface not appearing in a profile view, is that it does not touch the alignment.

If the surface does not cross the alignment, it will not show in the profile view, as there is technically no surface data at this point:
